Yan-Chuan (Cliff) Chen

Yan-Chuan (Cliff) Chen is a Registered Massage Therapist in good standing with the College
of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO). He takes a client-centered and evidenceinformed approach to care, with a focus on helping clients manage musculoskeletal pain,
improve mobility, and reduce persistent muscle and postural tension.
Cliff has a particular interest in therapeutic massage for clients experiencing neck and
shoulder tension, back discomfort, postural strain from prolonged sitting or desk work,
repetitive strain, muscle tightness, and restricted movement. His treatments are
individualized based on each client's needs, comfort level, and treatment goals.
His treatments may incorporate a variety of techniques, including:

For clients who prefer deeper therapeutic work, Cliff can incorporate focused pressure and
targeted techniques to address areas of muscular tension and restriction while maintaining
ongoing communication to ensure treatment remains comfortable and appropriate.
When appropriate, he also provides personalized home-care recommendations, including
stretching, remedial exercises, mobility work, and ergonomic suggestions to help clients
maintain progress between appointments.
Cliff is currently continuing his studies in Traditional Chinese Medicine and has a strong
interest in expanding his understanding of both Eastern and Western approaches to health
and wellness as part of his ongoing professional development.
He is committed to providing a safe, respectful, and comfortable treatment environment
and encourages open communication throughout each session.
